This is very embarrassing but I must admit - my daughter is going to FSU. I know, we try to raise them right but sometimes they have to make their own mistakes. I have been looking for a FSU-anon meeting in the area. "Hi my name is MaryAnn and I have a family member that is a (sigh) Seminole."

There are other Bears fans out there. I graduated high-school from Vanguard in Waco. So I still root for Baylor. No fan of the 'Horns or the Ags here in this Texas/Bama girl! My blood runs Green and Gold! Sic 'em, Bears!!Surely in the 14,000 Texas divers in this forum there has to be a Longhorn or Aggie fan?Â
I feel your pain! Baylor almost never wins, but I love 'em anyways. And I always pull for Auburn to lose, too. I guess something stuck with me from my first five years of life on this planet in Huntsville, even if my accent has worn off!I love college football, but I'm not feeling the love on this thread. Keep in mind, that we got beat last night. I need some TLC right now. Where's the love?
I also attended U of Texas "Hook 'em Horns"
And U of Arkansas "WHooooooooooooo PIG SOOOOOIE!"
Although I root for them both my #1 is was and shall be

Walter some of us are stuck (for now) far away from decent dive spots and/or buddies that want to go as much as we do :dltears: . I can't always get a poker game going so I keep up with football. You must be a blast to talk to during surface intervals if all you do is complain about not diving.

Anyone here remember the gal in the yellow bikini top and short shorts that rode the skate board all over campus in the mid 70's? I for one will never forget. I am sure some people (guys mostly) will never forget. I saw several walk into trees, ride their bikes in to trees, etc.

MaryAnn you were sooooo close to getting the "Mother of the Year" award. However, based on your recent confession that your daughter and $$ are in Tallahassee, you are DENIED!!!I am a GATOR! I was very sad over our loss.

I am very sorry, but somethings are just too much to overcome. Good luck with your treatment; I will be pulling for you.

I am 49 years old.MV, are you a Lobo? By the way, I just started the shot clock to see how long it takes TF to play the "Loco" card.
I have been to two footbal games in my entire life. One was while attending UC Berkeley I watched us get beat by UCLA I think by 45 points.
I decided to see a Lobo game two years ago to see what I have been missing.
We got beat by 12 points.
That is the sum total of my college footbal experience.

By the way, sorry to see about how the Gators got screwed by the officials on the game clock. No telling if it actually cost 'em the game but I'm sure it did contribute.

Our biggest problem, IMHO, was not being more aggressive on the 3rd down on our last possession. We were very good on third down on Saturday night yet we go to a vanilla, off-tackle run in trying to put the game away. Phat Phil has no timeouts left. A first down and its game over. I am not a fan of even thinking about giving it back to the D to win it...go for the throat. But that's me.By the way, sorry to see about how the Gators got screwed by the officials on the game clock. No telling if it actually cost 'em the game but I'm sure it did contribute.

That is where Spurrier would have thrived. Hell, he would not have just tried to pick up the first down, he would have thrown it downfield and tried to score again. Our biggest problem, IMHO, was not being more aggressive on the 3rd down on our last possession.
