Kamala, can you clarify whether this it at the Henry Morgan Hotel & Beach Resort or at one of the other resorts in the HM Resorts group? I checked out the HM Resorts website and the photos you posted are of one of the other resorts in the group, specifically the Media Luna Resort which is brand new. Just want to make sure because Media Luna hasn't been mentioned in any of the posts and to my knowledge it is not in West Bay. It looks very nice and I wouldn't want to be sold by these photos and then find out later we are staying at another resort.

Please add me to the interested list.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Technical Training Will be Available:

We will be offering technical training for this trip! So if you are doing some long range planning for Truk in 2014 and want to start or work on your tech training say Advanced Nitrox... in WARM WATER then this is the place.

If you've always wanted to move ahead in your training but towards the more technical side...this is a great chance.

If you've wanted to know more about technical training then here is a great opportunity.

And if you want to learn sidemount diving then here's a great chance to do so before many instructors have even learned how!

Why? Because OTWDiver is completing his crossover to Naui so he will be able to teach the same class and you can be certified as either Naui, TDI or PADI. Or all three if you would like the extra c-cards. He will be the ONLY instructor in the world that will be able to do this and will begin traveling globally to teach sidemount this summer. It will be a great opportunity for you to learn the latest diving techniques in the tech and recreational diving world AND do so from a very renown instructor who happens to be one of our very own! :respect:

Stay tuned for more details...

Can anyone tell me if there are whale sharks during this trip?

P.s. I was looking into airfare, I can either fly out of miami or houston, the airfare's are coming out around $770? Do they really run that much to roatan?(any suggestions for a better price?)

Hi Gobie! I was looking online for information on whale sharks. From what I found there is always a possibility of seeing one, but sightings are more frequent in the months of March-April and August-September.

For airfare, I know that from Norfolk, VA, it averages $1100-1200 and if there is a "special" it drops to about $900. Sounds in proportion to fares you have been finding. You might want to try a couple sights like kayak.com or farecompare.com. You would be able to look at difference of going a day earlier or coming back a day later and see if that makes a savings difference. (enough to make up the added hotel cost.) Also you can sign up with them for a fare alert which will tell you when a sale is going on.

Hope this helps.

Clint
