I had to miss the last Athens event, so I am really looking forward to this one! I will definitely be there! May need some help with camping equipment, as I am not sure if I can get my hands on a tent. I will be driving down Friday night...what's this about a Thursday happy hour? Bev

If the new gal from Midland doens't decide we're crazy, we'll pick her up in Abeline. She may need a tent to bunk in? Y'all talk her into it, we'll bring her.

There is no way yall can be any crazyer than my family, but I need to know the deffinate dates so i can check my calender.

Cost on this one will be $30 for the BBQ including brisket, pork, sausage, ham and lord knows whatever else we decide to smoke up! along with bitchin breakfast burritos Sat and Sun AND TONS OF GREAT Prizes and DiveGear in the Scavenger Hunt or Treasure Hunt and prizes for all the contests!

Full details coming but we hope to have drysuit trials as well as other cool toys such as scooters you can try out! Come and join the fun...you'll be sorry if you miss this one!!

Of course you can fly to Dallas and we'll pick you up and even arrange for overnite lodging if you need it to make return flights! That is what Gar aka BluBlood does when he flys in! -ww

So would I need to arrive on Thursday (10/28) evening or Friday afternoon (10/29)? I assume I would be heading back the evening of 10/31.

You could arrive on Thursday in time for our Oct Happy Hour and we'll make it in your honor! WOO!!! HOO!!! I'll take care of lodging on Thursday and arrangements to pick you up at the airport. You can fly back late on Sunday or super early on Monday...again we'll take care of lodging and getting you to the airport!

Okay, spoke with Jerry - Dejah's hearthrob she calls "Whiskers," and we're on. We'll drive thru the night Friday, get there in time for breakfast, stay at the motel, drive back Sunday. NOAA Flying After Diving charts say it's okay to fly after a few hours surface interval from a 20 foot deep pond, but we'll just motor ourselves.

Jer will need to rent a tank. Can you handle taht, Deb?

My HeartThrob you said? I don't know much about that part, but I will say that Jer was one heck of an awesome dance partner in Cozumel last Jan..WoooHooo!!!





Oh and on the tank rental.. anyone who is going to need tank rentals please let us know ASAP so we can ask Calvin to set a few aside for the weekend. There will be quite a few groups at the park during this weekend and we certainly don't want anyone to be short changed on a tank from our group.

Hey gang...ALL the details are now posted in the first post of this thread for those who have not done an Athens event before! See you there!

Don't forget to RSVP with Deb aka dejah as well as get your payment in so we can buy all those great diving prizes we'll be giving away! It only $5 per person more for all the goodies in the treasure hunt or scavenger hunt! The food is awesome and its only $25 for the weekend for some awesome food!

Clarification, please?

BBQ & Breakfast:

Because it was such a success the first & second time & third time...we will do many of the things from the first three Athens outing: We have a catered BBQ with Steve Sadler of Diving Rebels fame and legend for his all time awesome and award winning bbq's...

The awesome BBQ and home cooked Breakfast of sausage and eggs and tortillas with coffee and juice cooked is $25 + $5 for Treasure Hunt if paid in advance by 10/23 or $40 if paid after that.

For which breakfasts is this covering, which days?

Which evening is the BBQ?

What about lunch?

Who, what, when, where, how?

If we each are there Saturday early thru Sunday morning...?

Lunch you are on your own unless we have lots of left overs which we've had thus far!
BBQ = Sat night.
