OK, I am in. The other trip documents will follow very soon. I have everything set up except a hotel the night before the trip in St Maarten and the night after the trip in St. Kitts. I am open to suggestions on where other people are staying who will arrive on the 27th or earlier and will stay one or more days on St. Kitts.

I resent. I guess I got confused and sent the wrong documents to EV. Hopefully you have the correct ones now.

I just e-mail my documents - I think I get it in before the document fee kicks in. I still need to arrange air fare and trip insurance. I've never bought trip insurance so I'm open to suggestions on how it works, etc

I am doing Nitrox and would like to arrive early. The airfares are cheaper. It's also cheaper to leave on the 5th so I may need one night longer if anyone wants to share. I may actually arrive on the sunday or Monday before Christmas. I save about $700 in airfare which probably won't cover the room unless I get a roomy for a few of the nights. If anyone is interested. Not sure how this all works? I was thinking of contacting my timeshare to see if they could hook me up. I'm assuming I'd spend my early days on st. Maartin, right? I could also layover in Miami for the early days. I do have a friend there, but st. Maartins is much more appealing. If SD has any arrangements with a resort I can stay at please let me know the rates so I can decide before I book my flights. The only way I see to get a flight under $1,000 is to arrive before Xmas and depart Jan 5th. The 4th is $400 more! I now wish I had not just booked my Roatan flight

I found a airline ticket price I couldn't refuse. So, I grabbed it12/25 leave Chicago 5:45am ...see ya Santa. US air #321 to ClevelandUS air # 752 9:40am to st. Maarten arriving 2:15pm on Christmas Day, what a present. Don't know where I'm staying yet.
Returning 1/5/2013 ....need somewhere to stay for one night.AA #814 3:30pm to MiamiAA# 2039 8:55pm arriving 11:05pm Chicago.
So if anyone is arriving early, on the 26th of 27th and wants to bunk up let me know. I would like to stay in the same place for my 3 early nights.
What side of the country should I be looking for a room on? Somewhere not to far from the boat I would think but still with a beach

I think the last time we did this trip there were a couple of hotels in the area where the boat docks in St. Martin. More than likely a few of us will be doing the same thing since this is in the winter and don't want to miss the boat. So far it looks like I'll have to overnight in Miami coming out.
