I'll need some help with the airfare, but we can adress this issue after the Palau booking. Then we'll do the Blue Lagoon part, then the details, etc

This is going to be one Grand Adventure.

Wenchie:

I know you are in back to back trips and your personal life had a hiccup, but any idea when you will get this portion of the trip posted. I am just planning a few things, including cash flow, and wondering.

Hello,

Can you mention the name of the resort, add some nice pictures, etc, etc

I may try to sell this to a work collegue and maybe another person (a friend with cuban diving experience who needs a legit OW certification). The focus has been so much on Truk Lagoon, that the Palau trip looks rather bland (boring ?), which I am sure it is not.

Thanks,

Lephenix

Wooo hooo! I think I looked up this hotel before when I was looking at Palau hotels. Looks like a nice quiet place. It had mostly good reviews on trip adviser. I'm hoping there is some shore diving available on the trip.

Sharks!!! Whoo hooo!!! I very much hope we're able to see some.

There was no shore diving on the last trip. the boat rides are a bit on the long side so after a day of diving most people were done. We had a tough time getting enough people to do one night dive on the last trip. The Hotel is very nice with an overwater bar and an open air common area's plus an in house spa! got to love a massage after diving for a week in Truk and a couple days in Palau. It's only a couple minutes bus ride from the hotel to the dive shop so it's not a big deal. the dive shop has nice big rinse tanks and a large secured area to hang gear to dry after diving. Fish'n Fin is a nice operation and everything is done in a well thought out fashion. I Can't wait to get back.

Jerry,

I was wondering how many dives I'd be able to get in this week while I'm there. Guessing that they will do maybe two in the morning and then maybe two in the afternoon if people want?
As you said then maybe a night dive?

Generally you'll do 4 a day - like Jerry said the boat rides can be long. You'll do 2 dives in the morning then lunch on an island nearby and then 2 more before heading back. Some of the best diving I've ever done was there - the reef hook dive to watch the sharks swim by was amazing and then the very fast drift up the channel was really fun (you do the dive during a tide change when the sharks are feeding if I recall correctly).

I just looked at my log book and I had 14 dives in Palau. that includes the night dive but it doesn't include the jellyfish lake snorkle trip. I don't log snorkling. we did the night dive on the day we did jellyfish lake. in retrospect not the best plan. it's a short hike up a steep hill and down the other side to the lake but it's hot and humid so I was shot when I got back to the boat for the ride to the dive shop. all this after two morning dives. You can go on Fish'N Fins web page and facebook page to check out the diving setup.
