How about you and I spend a morning at the Highlands Bowl, or Cirque/AMF, or Ajax backcountry. We'll see who knows how to ski and who only knows how to talk smack.Aspen???Just remember, kids: SAY "NO" TO SNOWBOARDING! The darkest day ever was the day they opened Aspen Mountain to snowboarders.

Now that sounds good to me. I coulda went skiing this weekend but I've got a 7.5 week dive trip coming up and with my luck I'd break a leg if I went skiing. I'm off the boards this year.

i grew up at a ski resort, in a town which has produced more olympic atheletes than any other in the world. (all skiing related)
the town's school system has the best winter sports program in the US
i grew up skiing with (and keeping up with) the "whose who" of olympic skiers
my dad was an olympic skier, coach, and instructor
my brother was an olympic skier, and is now a coach for the US team
i've been skiing for 33 years
i believe in humility in all things, except my skiing and shooting abilities
lol

Steamboat's got good snow ... not much else there. And the steeps don't measure up to Highlands or even Mammoth, for that matter.

depending on the moon cycle, there were times when there were a couple dozen at a shot. averaged out to a few times a week.
after awhile its like, "oh, rockets, ok, no problem. come get me if anything gets hit or anyone starts shooting."
OK, lets make a deal. If you stop telling me how to dive, I'll stop going down to the bus station at 2am to slap d***s out of your mouth.
