Inspired by the Holiday movie post, what is your favorite holiday music to listen to wheather cooking, baking, relaxing, wrapping presents, unwrapping presents.

I'd have to go with the Charlie Brown Christmas album or anything with some Christmas jazz to it. :D

A really great Christmas album, if you can find it, is Fishbone's limited release "It's a Wonderful Life (Gonna Have a Good Time)". I put that on every year when I'm doin' up the tree and THEN, and not before then, do I know it's Christmas. If you can't find it, you can get three of the songs on the "Fishbone 101" Best of CD - link here, scroll down to CD #2, tracks 14-16:
http://www.amazon.co...=samples#disc_1

For those who aren't familiar with Fishbone, they are (were) a fantastic blend of ska, funk, rap, rock, punk, latin, you name it, all jammed in one great band. Probably their best still commercially-available CD is "Truth and Soul" - you can listen to some clips here:
http://www.amazon.co...=glance&s=music

I'm also a sucker for Elvis' and Frank Sinatra's Christmas albums.

I don't have a favorite Album (sorry old school) so to speak but I do have a few soungs:

The Rebel Jesus - Jackson Brown
Tennesee Christmas - Amy Grant
If We Make it Thought December - Merle Haggard
White Christmas - Bing!
Belleau Wood - Garth Brooks

Ok I know kind of an odd mix, but some of my favorites

Stone cold traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music- Vienna Boys Choir, Pavaratti, Joan Sutherland, Mahalia Jackson, & the like. Nothing better to me than the old Firestone Christmas albums- I really wish they'd re-release them. I've been hearing a couple of songs on the radio by one of my favorite Christian bands- Third Day- Mac Powell has a terrific voice!

I thought I was the only person in the world that loved those Firestone Albums. That is what Christmas music should be.

In a CD, Judy Collins is the best. She has a beautiful clear voice which goes well with christmas songs.

Oh yeah...and Jimmy Buffet's Christmas Island is always great! -ww

WW, I hate to do this, but it's too critical to pass up. A "buffet" is something with open bins of average food. Jimmy Buffett has two t's -- so does Uncle Warren for that matter.

Sorry to have to play the "two t's" card, but Jimmy wouldn't have it any other way.

Now if I can just find somebody to meet me on Christmas Island...

I'm also a sucker for Elvis' and Frank Sinatra's Christmas albums.

I've worn out 3 Elvis's Blue Christmas tapes and one CD...so far! :wakawaka:

I must confess. When I sing Christmas songs to myself, it's Elvis' voice in my head that I'm singing along to.
