Hi ! My name is Mandie and I am new on this site. I am looking forward to diving with "buddies and travel" .
I dont have alot of experience and I really need to deepen my skill level . I have definitely been bitten by the scuba bug.... Living in Delaware , I am looking forward to traveling with this group for new experiences, people and fish....
Hello Mandie and welcome aboard! We understand you are keen to sharpen your skills, and the best way to do this is to take advantage of our club's unique Rent-a-Buddy program! It should more aptly be named the Rent a Mentor Program, but the original name has stuck. *grins* This program has merit on several points, just a few include:
- The option to relax and enjoy a dive with the confidence of being paired with a Divemaster or higher certification buddy (usually club founder Kamala aka WreckWench herself)
- Honing fundamentals through real time post dive feedback, with future dives to reinforce those insights in mere hours rather than weeks or months
- Getting what amounts to a professional refresher dive course among the amazing WARM WATER reefs that the club visits year round! Why practice in a bulky 7mil wetsuit when you will use those skills diving in a light shorty or just swimsuit, depending on your tolerance for 78-82 degree water whether on budget minded Caribbean destinations, or true Bucket List trips such as the Red Sea, Maldives, Indonesia etc. which the club offers.
Again, welcome and know we are always just a topic reply or an email message away to answer any questions. Let's go diving!
