I was thinking about 'Gris Gal' myself...but I'm new to this stuff.

As for me...I'll stick with 'Wreck Wench' and 'Wenchie' regardless of pirate status or not. -ww

DiveBoat Update:

So apparently Dennis did send off an email to the boat owners who ended up calling me day before yesterday asking if I was serious about buying the boat. I told them that the engineer who had contacted him was traveling and would he please send the stats to me that he had asked for. He was a bit difficult to understand...was angry that people had been contacting him that were not 'serious buyers' his words not mine and all in all a bit abrupt. He has not sent me any information so whoever contacted him originally can you ask that he send the information to kamala@singledivers.com so that it can be relayed to proper parties inside of our organization.

Then I'll post the specs on the boat here or whatever they send us! Thanks -ww

I did email them last weekend, but I didn't mention single divers so it must have been someone else. I haven't gotten an answer to my email so I'm glad that we're moving forward!!!

Argg, What's with all this talk about paperwork? Isn't someone's signature on this board "Pirating is a hostile takeover without all of the paperwork"?
If we do need financing we could contact Jimmy Buffet, it's some of his music that is influencing us!
We being divers it's homeport should be the submerged Port Royal in Jamaica.
I, Latitude Adjustment (insert log in name), do hereby swear, (politely), that I shall not hold SingleDivers, (SD), nor any SD poster, (real or imagined), liable, nor shall I seek legal restitution, (real or imagined), for any perceived, (real or imagined), offenses I may incur, (or Incurrrrrrrrrr on talk like a pirate day), that may or may not be posted on this or any SCUBA related board, (real or imagined), by anyone, (real or imagined), anywhere, (real or imagined). Further, I void any right to privacy, (real or imagined), as it may, or may not relate to any posting, (real or imagined), about me, to me, for me, because of me, all about me, my dog, my cat, my bird, my monkey, my family, (real or imagined), my friends, (real or imagined), or my world, (real or imagined).

By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.

Not to throw cold water on this idea, but do you have any idea what it would cost to operate something like this?

This, of course, assumes you CAN operate her. I'm probably qualified to operate and maintain the actual engines (I know how to work on Detroits, up to and including overhauls) but the rest? Oh my.....

$1.6m for this vessel? I'll bet she's not seaworthy as she sits.... not at that price.
