MEMBER IDEA:

Hey everyone...got a great new idea from one of our members that I'd like to share with you. Let me know if you are up for it and we'll do it on this trip!

We've rec'd lots of suggestions about how to make our "Meets and Greets" and "SD H20 Happy Hours" better on each trip. One suggestion was to nominate one of the members on the trip to be our 'social coordinator' for the trip. I see this as positive in many ways...fresh ideas keep our social interactions fresh...the group can more readily influence and shape what level of social activity and interaction that they want meaning 'quiet groups can be more quiet and more rambunctious groups can do more 'mona monkey' chasing!

So what do you think? Do you like the idea? Any volunteers or nominations for someone to help us? -ww

I would like to put my name in for helping with the entertainment. I have been to the island a few times and know some of the off site places to eat and some of the sites to see. Might even know a happy hour bar to go see--well maybe a few. If any care to suggest other things of interest, might even be able to arrange those activities. The island is really enjoyable and has some really intersting things to do and see besides diving....though that is why we go. Looking forward to enjoying a great week with good folks, good diving and good times.
So any ideas and I will work on them....z

We just had a new member ask if her 'special' dive buddy could join us on this particular trip. Her 'special dive buddy' is her 12 year old daughter.

I have explained that SD.com is a single and buddyless site and that a number of our members have children who also dive. Next year we will have at least one official SingleDiversWithKids.com trip and at least one CouplesDiving.com trip.

In the meantime...I told her that I would poll the participants on this trip how they felt about a young teen on the trip.

If you have any comments one way or the other please pm me or email me at kamala@singledivers.com and let me know if a kid would be ok or if your idea of a fun vacation does not involve children. -ww

I've gotten great response back from members saying that they'd certainly welcome on this trip a 'youngun'!

So I'll contact our member who requested that she could bring her daughter but if she sees this first...you are welcome to go! !!!

I just received a very depressing email from Single divers. Well, not depressing to you wonderful group of people, just me.

I am gonna miss you guys in Cozumel by 1 day. I am flying back on the 23rd.

I would much rather be diving with you guys than with the group of guys, wait let me rephrase that. I am the 3rd wheel in the group I am going with. There is 9 of us going. I am the 9th. the other 8 are couples. So sucks to be me. Shoulda waited a week.

Anybody who comes on the 22nd. I will be at the Hotel Barracuda, and Kamala if you get there on the 22nd, you better look me up, maybe you could talk me into stayin a few more days. LOL

Have fun guys. Hope to see some of you there for 1 day. Dammit......LOL

Hey Dude;
Most of us get in about 10 on Friday morning. I'm sure we'll do a dive of some sort that afternoon, beach or boat. We'll be at Casa Del Mar.
