I'm just "one of the guys" as far as my dive club buddies are concerned, so I've seen them in their tightly whities for a "brief" moment, it's no big deal.

Laura

no big deal??

you gotta find different buds, hon.

perhaps that "Dick Long" guy???? :D :diver: :diver:

I'm secretly LMAO but publicly going to moderate you now....

I would hate having that name in the "last name, first" forms. Nobody would believe it!

Even though we know it is natural, we still tend to get very uncomfortable, yours truly included..... :wakawaka:

But Marvel, if you come over to Amsterdam with Mischievous I thought all of us could have a girls day out at the local spa?

Girl- with you & 'Chie along I would feel positively empowered!!

Most of you might freak out at how relaxed things are over here. Most gyms in Amsterdam have mixed saunas, one that I was a member of didn't even have separate dressing rooms or showers for the gym-sauna members. [/quote]
Amsterdam sounds like my kind of place :wavey:

It could be...but then again if you're referring to enjoying eye candy in a mixed sauna, proprietors & members are quick to spot & kick out visitors who have interests other than steaming and roasting in the heat...And you're in for a big surprise if you're wander (by mistake) into one of the gay saunas...you will be welcomed in no doubt...I, on the other hand, wouldn't get past the front door... I hear from some of my gay friends that they have a great time out in these saunas.

If referring to Amsterdam's drug paradise reputation, read my earlier warning posted in the thigh-high black leather boots thread.. I wouldn't want you to end up being mugged, poisoned or falling into a canal.
Actually if you're living here, Amsterdam is also a very laid back international city. See my description posted earlier to Coppermaus:
Meeting people through the Internet thread.

I guess I'm sorta the odd duck on this issue. I actually prefer to room with a guy than another female. I've just always gotten along with men better than women.

I was a typical tomboy as a kid, grew up playin all the sports with the guys, an never really grew out of that. So my lifestyle & habits today are just more compatible with a man than a woman.

I could room with a female if I had to, but that wouldn't be my preference.

Update to one of my previous posts....

To cut costs, Walter and I shared a room on our recent trip. The only room available did not have seperate beds, so we shared a queen sized bed. He was a prefect gentleman :welcome: , I didn't have to use CM's whips on him or anything. :mauswhip:

Another bonus was he does not snore!!!

Sure, you didn't have to, but since Walter is such a perfect gentleman, he certainly would have asked very politely.

I thought this thread was deja vu and that I'd already posted but that must have been an earlier one on the same topic.

I prefer a female roommate much (but not all) of the time. Seems to be fewer issues (as long as THE issue isn't one). I rent my spare bedroom to a female (actually an ex girlfriend from 15 years ago). There are few males out here I'd rent to (slovenly with the beer bottles and dirty clothes, although I'm not exactly a neat freak).

Of course the ideal sitruation would be with a dive mate who was also my main squeeze (as long as we're not talking about sinuses).

As long as you have an opportunity to understand eachothers habits (this goes for Females, as well as Males), it works and can save cash. Understand if the other person smokes, drinks, goes to bed early, snores, is a pig, etc., and know what your getting into.

If it's a good trip, your not in the room much anyways, even on a Live-aboard. :teeth:

Very true!

Dejah was my roomie in Coz and I hardly saw her in the room at all! Of course I wasn't there much either except to sleep, shower and dress. Much fun to be had on those SD trips!!

It would all depend on how loud she snores.
