Well, I'm afraid the hijacking was of my doing.... sorry....

Besides, ladies, there are LOTS of excellent divers on board here.... and I'm personally looking forward to diving with all of you.

(did I say that out loud? Dang. :banghead: )

:lmao:

Ok, on topic: Most romantic place I've personally been has already been mentioned: Paris. No beaches, no diving, lots of crowds (and kids), but unquestionably romantic.

As for diving locales, I'm not all that well traveled (at least, not for diving). I found St. Lucia to be wonderful, and stayed at the very romantic Jalousie Hilton resort. Private cabanas with hot tubs, private beaches, small dive boats, spectacular diving.

I am also ESPECIALLY partial to the many dive resorts in the Johnstone Straits of British Columbia. The diving is truly world class, and the rustic beauty is breathtaking. Of all the many places I've been on earth, I think this area is the most beautiful I've ever been.

I'll have to learn more about this DIR thing. They never taught that in my NAUI class.

Sorry, I'll stay out of this thread now. I have nothing valuable to offer, cause I've never been anywhere romantic. :dltears:

LMBO!!! David.. there might be something to being a DIR diver!!!

Romantic places are anywhere that you make them. It's not the spot but you that makes romance!!!

The most romantic place that I have ever been small cabin at a bed and breakfast just south of Fayetteville, Ar.. No diving nothing in the way of hot tubs and etc, but there was a great view of the Ozarks and a at the time very important man in my life. We made it romantic.

It doesn't meet most of your criteria, but to answer your last question, Paris is my all time favorite city in the world (and think how much better it would be if it weren't for the Parisians (or is that Parisennes?). If you've been there, you probably understand why.

Yes i agree.........What does this have to do with diving? LOL The Seine would be awful cold! But the best city in the world! :birthday:

I guess I was just making the point that not everything has to do with Scuba Diving.

Are you sure? I'm tired of rinsing my gear in the bathgtub and hanging it over the tub to dry. Now I'll get to build drying racks, hose the gear off, make a real repair bench, the dive related possibilities are endless.

Walter doesn't have a water bed, but I do. The most romantic place I've ever been is anywhere I am with my best buddy.

I hear you there, pal, one of the first things I did when I moved in December set up a place for the taking care of the dive gear.
There are old divers and there are bold divers, but there ain't no old, bold divers.
