Whoops, you lost me with that one WW. Now I understand why I'm still single! More than one of my SO's preferred more practical things than diamonds, furs or flowers... and I gladly obliged them with food processors, coffee makers, gardening tools, plant identification books, etc! Now I need to find one that considers SCUBA gear to be among the most romantic of gifts!...trips to expensive jewelry shops...
Hmm.....that in and of itself is pretty romantic if you ask me!
Oh yea...we were talking about diving...

"Santa Catalina Island, the island of romance, romance, romance." (sung to the tune of 26 Miles, oh it IS the lyric of 26 Miles!).
Well, then, it's rarely worked for me! And I'm sure the two of you want something more erotic... er, ah, I mean exotic.

How about something from Araujo or Harlan Estate instead? With a romantic frame of mind, neither Mad Dog nor Screaming Eagle would come to mind.

Short term solution ... I took Sun's advice and we're off to PV in three weeks. Longer term, I appreciate all the feedback you guys have given and will look forward to more if you feel so inclined.Don't overlook the south end of Puerto Vallarta. The sunsets over Banderas Bay is the best. Lot's of dolphin's and whales. Diving is at Los Arcos.
And I didn't have to drink any Merlot.

Dinner at "EL Set" restaurant, on the patio, at sunset. Doesn't get much better.
Great food, good wine list, good service, moderately priced.
I'll look forward to hearing about summer dive conditions, as I was there in February.

I'll never forget it.
My opinions, philosophy, and outlook on life are mine and, as such, are only a perfect fit for me.

hmmm.....
Romantically it'd have to be in the arms of my former fiancée. Geographically it'd have to be the Mangrove Hotel in Broome, Western Australia.
SD's Aussie Connection.
