Any other ideas on where to go for dinner?

Elliot Bay Brewery & Pub, same general vicinity as Frank's suggestion, up top the hill there.

Nice idea Greg, but my baby girl is joining us and she is only 19. I don't want to ruin everyones fun but would like a place that will let her in. Is this a true pub or can she get in there?

She did her first OW dives last night and had a great time. She will be OW Certified tonight.

Elliot Bay Brewery & Pub sounds good if it isn't a 21 and over. I don't think it is during the day looking at their website and they serve food. I'll check later today during business hours and post.

I am planning on 2 dives. Everyone is welcome to do 1 or 2 dives. We can regroup after dive #1 if anyone wants to sit out dive #2.

With the tides being what they are on June 18. What time do you all want to meet?

Heheh.. Yah, Tides until Sept are Krap.. mostly afternooners... :wakawaka:

Alki isn't really affected by the tide/currents so anytime is probably ok.. I'm thinking afternoon say :

Meet at 3pm
Splash by 4
break at 5
Splash by 6
out by 7
beer by 7:03... (joking)

or slide it back a little earlier,
Meet at 2pm???

your call...
remember it stays light till 9:30pm or so... I think anyway..

Frank its nice to know we are thinking alike.

DIVE PLAN FOR ALKI COVE #2 JUNE 18.

Meet at 3pm
Splash by 4
break at 5
Splash by 6

Then on to The Elliot Bay Brewery & Pub for dinner or just beers... :wakawaka:

Again everyone is welcome to join us for all dives and dinner or any combination that fits into your day. The plan is to get together and have fun.

If you need my phone numbers send me a pm and I will get them to you.

I think my good dive buddy is going to meet us for at least one of the dives.
I will be bringing my topside camera. Lets hope the weather allows for a few group shots before the dive and during the surface interval. If nothing else will be able to get some at dinner.
At last count it looks like there will be at least 10 of us in attendance.
Talked with Ray aka Fin_again a few nights ago. He is excited to be coming out to dive with us.

More good news looks like one of our lovely ladies from the North just might be joining us for our after dives HH. :cool1:

Met Fin-again aka Ray for dinner on Saturday. Showed him the dive site. He is looking forward to getting wet with us all.

:lmao: :diver:

Frank I don't think the DM Hotties are coming up for this one.

Is it Saturday yet??????

Colleen,

I'd love to do Alki with you guys, but I am scheduled to work on Saturday. Maybe I can do the SI when I get done.

I was going to PM you, but the system won't let me do that yet.

Ok maybe I'm the only non-local ding-a-ling, but I don't know how to get to Alki. Can someone point me to directions? Where should I park? Should I be concerned with limited parking? What amenities are near the site? Additional info besides that we are meeting there at 3pm would be greatly appreciated.

Well I can't post photos, but here's a map blast thing..

http://www.mapquest....ate=WA&zipcode=

basically you go up I-5, just before Seattle, AFTER Boeing field you'll see a turn off something like West Seattle Bridg... to West Seattle, go figure?, you'll go along up high on a bridge and then down and there's an exit, several.. you want the Marina, NOT Admirality Way.. it sort of goes down..
Turn Right, follow along the ocean front past the restaurant, Shaky's or Salt'ys, I ferget.. then you'll see the cars lined up on the side and a warf with Oyster Restaurant on it.. that's Alki Cove 2... park where you can... you'll see everyone... divers there..

Hope that helps.. search seattle, alki or Elliot Bay...

ps, has restrooms, restaurant... parking in lot for 2 hours but street is better..
Take a look here for the idea...
