I'm in favor of Alki Cove 2 as it's simple, easy to get to, easy access, not much of a parking problem, HH is close by, dive shop near by and rinse, restrooms etc...
But open. Tides and Currents are a little rough for the next 3 months and the 18th is no exception. Check the book...
Here's the list of locals to help locate something:

I think any of the Alki spots would be good. Last dive at Cove 2 was awesome. GPO and sea lions.
Currents might be rough for Titlow - unless we plan it for later in the day.
I dove 3-Tree on Memorial Day - GREAT DIVES!! Willing to do it again.
Was at Redondo yesterday and spoke with the Highline group there, looks like a fun site.
Edmonds is good.
Ok gang. We need to pick the site and get it posted. Final chance to speak your piece. Current votes are leaning toward Alki Cove 2.
Anyone else going to join us? Kevinpo?? Brinybay?? are you guys going to come dive with us?

A-Ha.. doing the beer dive eh???
"Looking for Beer, in all the wrong places..." or however that song goes...
We were there (Redondo) just after you (I know some of them and they told me what the DIVE was REALLY about.. In fact I have a photo of a UW Sign "...you're close"
Alki 2 is still my vote...

Yes, surely you do jest! I hate to burst your bubble, but the water here stays a constant 45-55F year round, i.e. it doesn't "warm up". It's the visibility that changes, and it's better in the winter.I think you post pone this a weekend... Give the water a chance to warm up..
OK I jest about the postponement...but I would like to dive the PNW..is there a chance of another PNW event to attend?

Nah, we never use the real stuff, just sparkling cider since alcohol and diving do not mix. Having been on many of our dive club's annual NYE underwater champagne sipping events, I would be happy to show you how it's done.grumble, grumble, grumble
Oh yeah, and we will NOT be wasting good champagne on a wetsuit (if it is the real stuff that is)!

And viz report from my weekend at Hood Canal was 40'+ at depth, fantastic! I also called one of my Divemasters, Georgia (who gis_gal cooincidentally has met and dove with now!) and she was diving yesterday in Puget Sound. I caught her before her third dive and they were on their way to a third site, but she also reported viz ranging from 25'-35'. If the weather holds, I am hoping for some great viz for the 18th!

Unfortunately, do to the nature of the chauffering/limo business and the fact that I work on-call and most of the work is weekends when people travel the most, I won't really know until the day approaches. I'll try to at least make it to the debriefing/HH afterwards. I just recently told my boss that I need at least one day a week that I can count on to schedule some R&R. I had to pick what has normally been the least busiest day, Monday. Even then I'm still driving a bus for Metro in the afternoon, but at least I know exactly when that is and for how long.Anyone else going to join us? Kevinpo?? Brinybay?? are you guys going to come dive with us?

Azteca in Burien is a good place for a debriefing when diving 3-Tree.Any ideas on where to go after the dive?

Dive-Girl is bringing a dive buddy along..
This just keeps getting better and better...
Since we are diving Alki Cove #2.. Where do we want to go to eat??
F.Y.I. I have heard that there is a car show on Alki that same day so we might not want to head toward the lighthouse for dinner.

Pegasus Pizza is down around Alki Point and is a favorite of many of my buddies, and they have good cold beer. Parking can be a challenge, but it's usually pretty good (but it's not a walk... involves getting in cars).
Salty's has good grub but can be a little spendy... but something to consider.
We could also just bring sandwich stuff and have a picnic if the weather looks good... that might be fun.
Any thoughts?

I think it might be best to head away from Alki for dinner. If the day is even mostly nice they crowd will be huge. and if you add in the car show. I am sure we will wait forever to get in a Pegasus.
It will be easy to caravan up the hill so no one gets lost. I am up for pizza. Is the Bagel place still up there? They use to make the best bagels and sandwiches.
Any other ideas on where to go for dinner? David great idea on the picnic but weather might not permit it.
