A friend and I were talking in depth about the whole, pros and cons of dating someone you met online. Furthermore, getting actual feelings for someone you have met online and have yet to actually meet.

ANYWHOOOOOO..... I am curious how many people have met someone special to them on SD....

FESS UP! :wakawaka:

Well Mishelle, the problem I see with your survey is the one's who have hooked up are doing other things :wakawaka: and not reading this "singles" board.
I know of at least one happy couple who met here.
I, Latitude Adjustment (insert log in name), do hereby swear, (politely), that I shall not hold SingleDivers, (SD), nor any SD poster, (real or imagined), liable, nor shall I seek legal restitution, (real or imagined), for any perceived, (real or imagined), offenses I may incur, (or Incurrrrrrrrrr on talk like a pirate day), that may or may not be posted on this or any SCUBA related board, (real or imagined), by anyone, (real or imagined), anywhere, (real or imagined). Further, I void any right to privacy, (real or imagined), as it may, or may not relate to any posting, (real or imagined), about me, to me, for me, because of me, all about me, my dog, my cat, my bird, my monkey, my family, (real or imagined), my friends, (real or imagined), or my world, (real or imagined).

By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.

WW, nowadays darlin them are called "stalkers".

Yes lots of people here are "special". And long live us small bus-ers - because our name is Bill, William for short. And "Life is like a box of chocolates", damn it.

I hope this helps answer your original question.

Well Miss Mishelle, perhaps you should have clarified your definition of "someone special" darlin', as it seems many are confused...

If your talkin' about friends, I've met some people that I know will be friends of mine for a lifetime... no questions asked. I'm forever grateful for that and I'm certain I'll meet more.

If your talkin' about special guys like ScubaHawk, Bubski and Sea Cucumber, yep, I met them all and absolutely enjoy hangin' with 'em... medicated or not! Can't wait to see them all again!

If your talkin' about real, true, deep down and serious love... well... here's hopin'! Love's flower blossoms in the strangest places... :helpsmily:

Well, the whole idea behind SD is that it's NOT a dating site, and that's what I LIKE about it. Been there, done that with online dating with unhappy results. It's not for me. See my post elsewhere about inmates using online dating sites.

With that said, I'm assuming you mean "special" as in "romance". The answer is no, I haven't. but I'm not looking for that. If it happens, ok, but I'm here about a common interest, diving. I've been told I make women nervous, but I'll never understand why:

haha! I wouldn't make a good vampire. I don't bite, I only nibble.
