Learned a long time ago.... look for friends first, then a form of love can follow.

Love can be a very romantic one, or a level of friendship that goes beyond being "pals" but not reaching intimacy.

So with that definition, I'm always looking for love... love of a friend.

It would be nice to have someone to share the adventures with and maybe that is why I enjoy the group trips so much but I've pretty much given up on finding Ms. Right.
I'll probably get flamed for this but most of the women I've met who are into scuba have got some real issues and are more trouble than they are worth. :respect:

What kind of problems are you referring too? And why have you noticed they seem to be more common with women into scuba? Just curious...-ww

By the way...are they new divers or seasoned divers?

It may just be the type of women drawn to scuba but many need some serious couch time with a pshrink. How many dives they have under their weight belt doesn't seem to matter.
Having said that I have found some who have what I'm looking for but I'm not what they are looking for! :respect:

Aw the story of my life...I know it well!! LOL!!!

I think that that sums it up for a lot of us! I've started to see a trend in my own life of the men in my age group being more interested in younger women. Sometimes sad to be so discounted by men who I have a lot in common with but, even though I could pass for younger, I'm too proud of my years & my grandchildren to do so!! :wakawaka: OTOH, I am constantly baffled by the much younger men that hit on me- some young enough to be my sons! What's up with that? :-D

I haven't 'given up' so to say, but I have relaxed my idea that it HAS to happen. I joined sd.com to get to know some great people that I can dive with and not feel like I'm going somewhere I've never been with from freaks with 6 eyes and 2 teeth!! Whatever happens, happens.... I trust that 'someone' is watching out for me and will give me what I need when I need it!

Ok, here I am in Coz with nothing better to do than sit in an internet cafe :cool2:

I just finished buying painted feather pics for two female buddies. Mailed four postcards each to both of them (will see how many make it there).

Last day of diving today. Taught two women how to do the moonwalk (more of a jump) under water. The first dive they thought I was crazy but on the second dive both did it..including flips.

And they liked my first dive recommendation....Palancar something finishing over Palancar Gardens. Th entire hour was beside or on top of reef.

In case you are wondering...one is married and the other is way too young.

PS Marvel, I really have to see a woman's eyes and talk with her a bit to form my best impression of them as a person, but I gather from your pic and your posts that guys just find you very attractive. Remember my post about women getting sexier with a little age? And in your case I do mean just a little. I have to be really careful that I don't get "foot in mouth" syndrome.

I reject that totally. I think that most guys are probably just intimidated by you. You're very attractive, blazingly smart, active, the list goes on. I suspect that it takes a special kind of guy to match up with you.

Love is in whom with what and at where you enjoy it. Honestly, many of us long time single folks with a few years under our belts (or in my case over my belt) feel like me that our time alone is very important and that activities with good friends doing things we enjoy is our truely our idea of a great time....In other words what we love. Soooooo on that note...Lets get wet!!!!!!!

Sorry, don't buy it. Can't possibly be true. Life is meant to be shared with someone special, the challenge is finding that person!
