Wow, can't wait to see those! Can you tell me what time the boat leaves the dock on Friday morning? I don't think I would be able to schedule a flight on Thursday that will get me there in enough time to drive out with the group, so I'm thinking I'd just rent a car I'm just trying to figure out if it is feasable.

I am interested in this trip, but I don't meet the 40+ dive requirement (I'll have a PADI AOW by then and have 10 dives logged as of right now). I've been to 110fsw, so I don't think depth is an "issue" for me, but I don't have dive experience in rough waters or current. If it helps, I grew up in Florida and am infinitely comfortable in the water and I am working on logging more dives in the mean time.

Is this trip something I could do?

I'm going to try and get Nitrox ceritified here pretty quick and maybe work on a deep cert as well. Since I've started with PADI, should I stick to PADI certs? Are Nitrox and Deep the next 2 logical certs for me to get?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

The 40 dive rule is a good rule of thumb meaning that by that time divers are more intimate with their gear and their air consumption etc. This is NOT the venue to decide 'oops I forgot to check my air' or 'now how do I put my gear on again?' or 'I just got this computer and I have no idea how to use it?'

I see Bill OTWDIver is going! Hey Bill wish I could join you for the diving! You guys have a great time and let us know how great the crew of the Mutiny is. Looks like a talented group of people (which had included Roy who will be terribly missed by the NC dive industry) and I understand from the reports coming in, they are running great dive times.
