I wasn't part of this group when the thread started, but I got married recently. Having been married before I did it out of masochism. :thankyou: My new bride is going to take open water lessons this spring. It remains to be seen whether she enjoys scuba or not.

Actually, you have met her. She was with me at Beneath the Sea last year. We'll swing by again this year on Sunday. I am taking a class on Saturday.

My wife does not dive and works. I retired early and dive. My twin dive buddy daughters are in college and so I'm alone.

In looking at this topic, I do not see many replies, So I was Wondering? How many Married but Buddyless (MBB's for short) are in this Group?

OK, this post has been here a lot longer than I have, so I am hoping I do not violate any county ordinances here.....I was wondering if there are any trips planned which a geared toward MBB couples? I am starting to fix up a trip for my wife and myself later this summer, but as usual up to now, I end up looking for a Bud when I get there. We happen to be fairly flexible in the time thing now, so we can go on sort of short notice. Are there any other couples who might be in the same vessel....I would just like to have a way where my wife might have some shopping company or something while we are underwater....Just wondering...

Thanks.......BigGulp

Add me to the list of married and buddyless. I quit diving after my divorce and now am engaged to a nondiver. I just asked myself one day why should I have to give up something I love. So here I am, looking for a buddy or fun group to go with on occasion.

Over a year since anyone posted here. :D

I just joined the board. I am MBB. Wife doesn't swim, wade or paddle. No hope of her ever becoming a scuba diver but I love her dearly.

I'm beginning to think I may some day end up married and buddyless... but that's OK because I mostly dive solo anyway.
