Seriously, that shark was like a cuda, merely curious. I was never in any danger. Had I swam directly at it instead of hovering motionless, I would never have gotten such a good look. What a beautiful creature! I'm thankful for the experience.

Ok...one final thought on sharks...if you hold your ground or swim towards them then you don't look like "Food" cuz food swims AWAY from a shark...not at it!!! :twist:

Anyone into sailing?  This particular liveaboard was a sailing vessel.  We did sample the food.  Excellent!  It would work quite nicely for a singles trip.

Do you mean the Windjammer? I think that would be a great time - some great itineraries.

If you do the NC shark dive in mid August I'll be near Morehead City for my Dad's birthday. My parents would probably let me be shark bait for a day. You say the water is 80? I thought it was more like 65.

I have 2 other trips to NC that are RedWetandBlueTrips.com and not necessarily Singles trips although almost everyone on the NC trips are single.....but anyway I have 2 trips in Aug cuz it is such a pristine time to dive there. They are Aug 13-15 diving and Aug 27-29 diving with travel days on either side. Will those dates work for you??

Also it is usually only 65 in early spring or very late fall. This past weekend it was 69 already so we are off to a good warming trend so far!!! :welcome:
