Thanks to all for signing up! Looks like having a delay in accepting deposits has allowed a few more people to join us like MNJoe and Rkmtwy!!!!

We have a total of 15 spots but they will go fast! Please do not delay in getting your deposits in! As usual we'll post in the thread and main post that we have rec'd them.

PLEASE get your waivers and surveys in SOONER vs later. AND we need to know how much lead you will need if flying in as well as your flight details. This trip is very challenging logistics wise as we do not rent vans to transport divers from the airport to the boat. Rather our members help us by offering to carry another member or two with them! And in some cases we've had members who couldn't do the trip help get people to the boat!

And don't forget our infamous SD Happy Hour! We hold it a restaurant near the boat and its a blast! Many members from the area come to meet our out of town members so please plan to be there! (Fly in divers will be there automatically as they can't leave until Thursday. But if our drive in divers can arrange to stay an extra night so that they can celebrate with us...THAT is the best! And yes many members even offer up places to stay that last night so we can hang out and have a great time.

I thought for this trip, nitrox is free if you are certified for nitrox and the tank is provided if you are diving nitrox. So this mean you only have to bring tank if you are diving air, right?

Tanks?
We will allow divers to bring personal cylinders on the boat. However, the boat can provide an aluminum 80 for any diver requesting one. Nitrox aboard the Spree is included in the charter price. Nitrox prices aboard the Fling remain the same as last year, with tanks larger than 100 cf charged 1 1/2 x the posted price. Both boats have one adapter to fill high-pressure din valves. Doubles are not allowed. Please let us know your customers’ tank needs when confirming your spots for the trip.
Pony Bottles?
Pony bottles in use aboard the M/V Fling and M/V Spree are considered redundant safety equipment for emergency situations only. Pony bottles equipped as a redundant gas supply with first and second stage regulators will be filled once at the beginning of the charter if needed. Nitrox fills for pony bottles are $10. Pony bottles equipped as gas supply for drysuit inflation, having only a first stage regulator, inflator hose and pressure gauge, will be filled with air on an asneeded basis.
Weights?
Divers need to provide their own weight and weight belt. If coming from out of town, the boat is able to provide lead but needs to know approximately how much is needed in advance. There is always some lead on board for anyone who is a few pounds light.

Thanks for the FAQ Capn Jack. The Spree is making a number of changes this year. As for lead...they are not used to mostly 'fly in' divers. So we'll see how much lead they can really supply. Most poeple bring their own or rent it from the local shop who has chartered the boat.

Also Capn Jack please have your daughter create a fun screen name on the site. She will need it to officially register for the trip.

Karl likes to use HP 120's and Karen is his redundant air supply!
