Maybe he just didn't understand what "CPR/First Aid class" is (especially if it came out with a joisy accent & if he doesn't speak joisy :diver: ). My limited experience with people I've met in the gym (I've only been to a couple of gyms and never maintained memebrships in any) is that they tend not to be the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Maybe some girl threw a rock at him and hit him in the head so now he's brain damaged. He might have just honestly forgot what he was doing. I got in trouble last month because I was talking to my roommate, forgot I was talking to her in the middle of the conversation and starting singing Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. I got hit in the head for that, and I haven't heard the end of it.

Ellen, I think the chase was exciting but the thought that he may have actually caught you scared the hell out of him :diver:

Next time you see him, tell him you need a chest to practice your new skills on..... then you will see if he is scared ;-)

I didn't know I was so scary.

Scary?

Unless you are 600 pounds, ugly and smell bad, real men are always scared to ask you for a date.

The only men that are not scared when asking a woman for a date are major jerks because they have no feelings.

Why have not YOU asked HIM for a date ?

Maybe you are scared to ?

:D Make love, not war. :diver:

Why didn't I ask him out? I don't know. I guess I'm still kind of old fashioned and think that the guy should ask the woman out. Especially the first time. Maybe it's because I am not really an aggressive person. Maybe it's because I am scared of rejection. :D :diver:

Not so. I was never really scared to ask a girl out on a date. I might have been nervous a few times, but not really scared. Girls are people, too. They never scared me.

Guy says, "I'd like to go to dinner with you tonight." Woman hears: "I'd like to sleep with you tonight.". Guy wonders why she she looks angry and walks away without saying a word.

So that's what I've been doing wrong all these years. Maybe I should just start with "Hey, you're hot. Wanna go make out?" Perhaps then she'll hear "Hey, let's go do something fun together without any strings attached and see if the chemistry fizzles or explodes."

I am the luckiest man alive since I seem to have found the one woman who actually says what she means and means what she says, and assumes that I'm doing the same. Too bad she lives so damn far away! Thank God for Skype and webcams.

Cheers!

Jim

My guess is...so is he. Of course, maybe you are scary. By any chance were you bench pressing 400 lbs. at the time?

Hmm. Maybe his brain is running Vista and it crashed between the "Check Availability" and "Ask Out" steps...

I personally don't think you should have been expected to ask him out, especially since he started it. My take? If he can't finish that simple thought, run away. Far, far away. And fast. :diver:

Cheers!
