FYI...

I just checked with an airline consolidator and they said that they'll have better rates come January...both for Belize and Bonaire as well.

Lets hope so...if not, they'll be a big ouch in our pocketbooks, not to mention the credit cards.

i will second CJdives about holding off. there have been some good fares to BZE recently that are popping up for short period of times then disappearing, then coming back. I think things are about to get real interesting with fares as I have seen a couple of warm winter(carribean) get away fares change in the travelers favor very quickly in the past week.

Speaking of fares disappearing....Now I can't find the $224 fare that was there the other night! Don't ya just love it???

Do you want the trip this week or the first week of April? I have to let the resort know asap. Keep in mind we will not have an April trip and we'll have 2 in May so it will be crowded in May doing this and the Keys Krawl via the Spree that I have already committed tool

By the way Kamala...I for one I'm excited at the prospect of going to Belize, however do you have any preliminary idea of a ballpark figure of what the cost will be???

keep a eye out for it its a fare that the availability is limited so when you see it you have to grab it. I wish this type of fare would come to the bonaire trip (and this direct 1 or non-stop) as right now the fare is looking to be a grand plus, 4 legs and a 15+ hour trip one way.

Hello all! I'm Jeff from Wilmington, NC. Just joined and am very excited about all the dive destinations whirling around this site. Funny, just last week, I chose all of my vaca weeks for 2009 and none of them really align with any of the trips so far. Was planning Bonaire and/or Belize for early APR. As for my "2psi" concerning the latter: I'd prefer the April week vs. May, simply because of vaca time, however, I realize airfare may be cheaper in May. Perhaps with the economy nose"diving", fares will settle down for early APR. I'm an Air Traffic Controller with a few airline pilot buddies-I'll keep my ear to the ground, or rather, the air, about concerning what fares might do for this timeframe.
