George and I will be getting a room at the Hotel Murano, which is where we always stay. They only glitch will be if George is writing any exams after that weekend (they go until the 28th), in which case we might not be able to make it. BTW, assuming we will make it I will need a bigger SD t-shirt - my belly will be huge by then :cool1:

Thanks for posting! I won't have to send a PM :dazzler:

Are congratulations in order??? :wakawaka:

Speaking of the Treasure Hunt is SD going to put together a team for this as im coming up early to attend this event as i would love to have a shot a grand in cold hard cash, plus i have a nack for finding golf balls in poor/no viz conditions. Then is there any HP Steel (Like a 130) tanks available to borrow or rent for the Treasure Hunt

I believe A-2-Z Scuba has larger capacity tanks for rent. My recommendation is to send Amy an email. The depths will be unlikely to exceed 40' and the hunt tends to go fairly fast, so based on a diver's air consumption it may be unlikley for that diver to have a need for a tank larger than what they normally dive in.

Nicole

thanks for the heads up. I was asking for a larger tank because i will be in a drysuit and im not used to diving cold water so i will be become a air sucking dog. I also might pass up the TH as thats going to be alot of gear to haul for just one dive, plus I may be busier then a one arm paper hanger, as the last PNE show i was a "Boy Scout on steroids" doing 50K things at once and all over that place. I think i did 5 miles of walking on saturday alone.

WW- Cold dont bother me, as the wheezle will do the job, plus if i get cold enough its not like i dont have the training to correct the issue :cool1:

How can our awesome members help get the word out about the PNW Dive & Travel Expo??

The more attendees we can get to attend the show, the better chance we have for signing up new members and potential dive buddies.

We want to get the word out to as many divers, dive shops, travel agencies, and other industry-related people as we can!

Let's post our ideas here, and then everyone who reads the thread can help out by trying to get the word out to their own connections using the ideas listed.

If you need a link to the Expo's web site to help spread the word, here you go: http://www.nwdiveandtravelexpo.com

My idea is: I am going to search the SD site for inactive members in WA, OR, ID, northern CA and western Canada and send them an Email with a link to the show, inviting them to attend and/or volunteer to help with the SD booth.

Hey, well it worked! You dredged me up out of the woodwork :dancing:

Anyway, I'd love to help, but will already be manning both the REEF and Washington Scuba Alliance (WSA) booths. Will be sure to stop by and say hi to you guys, and you do the same!

I second checking out the REEF booth and stopping in to say hi to Janna. I also have to add, if you ever have a chance to take one of her fish id courses, grab it! She is amazing! :dancing:

Janna, you'll just have to watch this thread & sign up for the happy hour! I won't be up there long enough to take a fish ID course from you, but I'm sure we'd all enjoy getting together after a long day on our feet at the Expo and swapping fish er, I mean dive stories! :dancing:

Well how are you going to fit all those t-shirts on at once, and sheesh here we thought you'd be wearing a Seven Seas Scuba t-shirt too.... :wakawaka: I plan on manning our shop booth and SD - nothing like doubling up! :-D

I am going to suggest you cluster all the booths together and make it easier to go from one to the other.
I wonder what the banner would look like...

SD, Seven Seas Scuba, Reef, WSA... :dancing:
