YES we will all have a hotel locally to hang out early if arriving early or late if staying late. I can also arrange a check out dive for those looking to do that with a local day boat operator. I'll just need to know what you want to do and we an do it!

I've had to do some unscheduled traveling for the next couple of days with very limited email access. I will hop on line as I can and try to post at least the Truk only portion so you can start working on air. This is my number 1 priority and YES this will be open no later than this weekend when I'm anticipated to be return to the office. I am very sorry for this add'l delay.

Thanks for the update on the trip. Sadly until I'm able to see total costs for the trip I probably won't be able to commit. If you had good estimates on the Palau portion (+/- 500-700) that would definitely help. As you said it would be great to be able to start to book air or at least start watching pricing to try to get a cheaper flight plan.

I hope your travels go well and if you're traveling to relax you get a chance to do that!

Will do! Both are great venues and both are the 2nd time we've done them so either choice is great and its likely I'll do them again as long as people want me too. So far I could dive each OVER AND OVER AND OVER and then SOME MORE...YES BOTH ARE THAT GREAT!!!

With flights being pretty complicated will you be able to help book air for this trip? I attempted to look up airfare for this trip but wasn't getting similar pricing that you show. I was trying to see if there was a way to save some costs by getting a direct flight from Chicago to HNL but that didn't seem to work. Once I see costs on the Truk portion I should be able to make a firm commitment. The Palau portion @ $1600 is a decent price. I know Truk will be more due to it being a live-aboard.

Yeah the dilema is that it's literally a month after Saba and I'm trying to figure out if I can get enough time off in such a short time frame. It's not looking good />. It's really killing me because Truk is pretty much at the top of my to do list />! I might have to beg and plead that you repeat Truk in 2015 />. I want to commit to Fiji in 2015, but if Truk is an option in 2015, AND they are scheduled too close together (within 3-4 months or so), then I'll have to choose one or the other and I'll be /> ( don't know if this emoticon is applicable here, but I've been dying to use it lol).

I'm worried cause you have Truk in Feb '14 and Fiji in March '15. If a possible Truk 2015 trip is in February I'll have the same problem of the trips being too close together. I don't think you generally book big trips like this so close together for that reason so I'm holding out hope. There are a lot of LDS around me that do Truk, and already have 2014 and 2015 dates, but /> and don't want to go without SD! Help me Kamala One - Kenobi, you're my only hope!

Kamala usually books these flights, but you can do it yourself. Some people book their own ticket to LAX and then Kamala books the rest of the trip from there.

Silly Jester, don't think for a moment that SD will never do Truk again. You don't have to go to extremes and sign up with your LDS! Until then there will be plenty of other great SD trips to keep you divin.

Anyone getting to Truk early. My 2psi is stay at the blue lagoon resort. Beautiful grounds and nice restaurant. Reasonable security on the resort(a valid concern) Rooms are adequate. Comfortable but dated. But you don't go to Truk to sit in a room. I didn't dive with them but everything I've read has been positive.

I'm seriously considering getting into Hawaii 24 hours early in order to visit the USS Arizona.

MORE UPDATES:

1. Yes we can book these flights for you for the $30 fee since they are not charter flights where the booking fee is included. OR you can book your own. We can book just LAX to Truk and/or Palau and you book yourself to LAX. or...

2. We can also get a *LIMITED* number of quotes from other cities not just LAX but keep in mind that my air consolidator can not work for free and as you can see these flights are cheaper than what you can get. I AM PASSING ALL SAVINGS ONTO YOU...since these are my costs to book these flights we ask that flight requests be kept short and sweet as the $30 fee goes directly to the consolidator for booking only. They will chg more for anything beyond one flight request other than the LAX options shown.

3. If you wish to stay overnight in Hawaii like Jerry is wanting to do we can set up the hotel (approx $100 or so) and arrange transfers like we did on our first trip. This gives you enough time to see a few sight in Hawaii and breaks the trip up.

4. We will all stay at Blue Lagoon Resort as I have a contract with them. We will book any days you want to arrive early and/or stay later.

5. If you want to do some land based diving before or after the trip let me know and I can set that up as well. Several people have already asked me about doing some diving before the trip and after so it would be nice to keep the group together.

6. The air pricing HAS BEEN CONFIRMED as posted a few days ago.

7. The trip price will be $3280 which includes NITROX 30% (other mixes are charged per the cu/ft used)and includes the 5% Chuuk taxes.

8. Palau is still estimated to be $1600 +/- $200 for the week to include the amenities posted in the Palau interest thread.

9. The trip's full details will be posted today if all goes well. We *MAY* open the trip since everyone interested is a repeat diver using a simplified sign up while I finish the full trip template later this week. I am working on the modified trip posting as we speak.
