Hey, Kamala,

Any idea on when this trip might open up for booking or when deposits may be due? With Galapagos after, coordinating for both will probably be a bit of a challenge. Just doing my best to plan for it, now.

Next week after I'm back from NJ be watching for Roatan and NYE to open very quickly. Then Truk will be next. It will open early April.

As stated before we will work with anyone doing multiple trips on payments and deposits etc. Thank you, Kamala

I'm going to bring some of my research material on Truk to BTS tomorrow night and all day Sunday if anyone wants to go through it. I also have our DVD and a very good one Mike Gerken made while he was captain of the Odyssey

BTW, I've been meaning to tell you for a long time, I love the Mexico quote in your signature line. We'd been using that one in Mexico for decades before Vegas decided to steal it!!! />

But the truth is...what happens on a SD trip does NOT stay on the trip...its on the net in video and pictures usually within an hour or two!

It would be VERY helpful to know the confirmed trip dates & confirmed location of the second week of this adventure trip. />

I'm trying to figure out if I might be able to afford one week or both weeks in 2014, and then see if I'll have any money remaining to do another dive trip in March with another dive club. Advanced planning is the key to MORE DIVING.

I am looking at Palau again because it is easy to transition too and world class diving. However we are looking at doing a Micronesia pass that will let people do whatever other itinerary that they want to do. But I'm leaning towards Palau again...it was amazing and worth a do over! AND it was very reasonably priced! kamala

Would Palau be the week before or after Truk? I know this will sound crazy, but to get the time off for the trip, I need to put it on the calendar now:banghead:/> I gave them the heads up at least, but need to lock it down a little bit more.

Palau will be after Truk. I hope that helps. And we totally get the vacation thing! No worries... hoping to have all details locked in very very very soon! Its time to get this puppy open for booking!

There was a question raised back several pages about the availability of helium. I was surfing over on TDS forum and it appears that Odyssey now has trimix banked on board. I'll contact them about all the tech questions I have for this upcoming trip. According to the poster he was only charged for gas he used not the entire fill. That checks with what I was charged for oxygen on the last trip. But I want to get the info straight from the horses mouth.

Sorry It's taken so long to get the info on this posted I have been without a real internet connection for a while. I talked to the Odyssey folks at Beneath the Sea and they confirmed that there is Trimix on tap for those qualified to use it. they have 21/36 and 10/50 on board. they quoted me $1.50 per cuft for the 21/36 and $2.00 per cuft for the 10/50. He was not 100% sure on the price but these are in the ball park. If you don't use the entire fill they will take back what you don't use. They only charge you for what you use as they did for the O2 in the stage bottles I had.
