I've been having a bit of a blue week. Long hours at work, OT, dive cancelled for the 5th week in a row, weather too crappy to cruise in the convertible kinda thing.

I scrolled down to some Jimmy Buffett on the car stereo to help me dream of warm weather, beaches and blue oceans.
We all must believe in something... I believe I'll have another beer

A Pirate Looks at Forty is the best song in the history of music.  So there.

In your belly you hold the treasure few have ever seen.....Nuff said.

I have been drunk now for over two weeks,
I passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks

"it's my favorite buffet song...."

Never wanting to miss an opportunity to be a smart @$$, what the hell is a "buffet" song? I am visualizing Wayne Newton walking through the buffet line at the Stardust singing "Tiny taters on my plate...".

For the record, its two t's - Buffett. Sorry, I just could pass that one up. :D

Right now, I'm burning up Killswitch Engage's "Alive or Just Breathing."

you make this crap up, doncha, jamie.

come on, admit it.

Just for you, t-fish, here's the amazon site where you can get a little flayva of the Killswitch - scroll down and savor some of them tasty samples:

http://www.amazon.co...=music&n=507846

I find them to be a great blend of melody and aggression. Their newest CD, "End of Heartache" is almost as good. If you like this, you'd probably also like Ill Nino and Spineshank.

An exceptional more mainstream CD is Soil's "Redefine". If you like this type of music I would also recomment Drowning Pool's newest, "Desensitized," as well as Powerman 5000's "Transform," Slur's "Independence," the first StoneSour CD, Saliva's "Survival of the Sickest," and the new Korn Greatest Hits disk.

Another fave in the changer right now is Kittie's "Oracle" - a really different, interesting band of veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery angry little girls.

Yet another recent favorite that I keep coming back to is Mudvayne's "End of Things to Come."

A revisit to the oldies-but-goodies are Megadeth's "Symphony of Destruction" and "Youthenasia" as well as Union Underground's "Education in Rebellion," Metallica's "Binge and Purge," and of course my favorite CD of all time, Tool's "Lateralus."

Quite the "buffet" lineup! :teeth:

Now that's mixing it up. Go from "Margaritaville" to "Believe" to "When The Sun Goes Down" to "Hound Dog" and top it off with "War Pigs" all in one swell swoop!

By the time I leave work, I'm burned out on music, when I'm in the car I listen to NPR or PRI. If I do listen to music at home, I play Van Morrison on the computer CD player.(I have over 5000 CDs and no stereo !?!)

Van the Man rules :elf:
