a windowless room you say?
with just radar scopes hmm...might have to start sitting in on some of our flights the view is spectacular from 40,000ft.
You guys keep us safe, keep up the good work!

Heh, working for the gov't we say they treat us like mushrooms... they keep us in the dark and feed us manure. I used to fly jumpseat all the time but not since 9/11 when they shut the cockpit doors. I REALLY miss flying with you guys and I always loved the view.

Sea Urchin, Thanks. Timewise... about the same.

Me and Sandy are getting some private time in Feb.. going to Coco View resort in Roatan. :cool1:

I skipped most of this thread, I'm a college student in forestry, I've also shod horses and worked construction, in addition to four years as a pack mule for the USMC.

I just finished my PhD in Ecology in January & landed a job straight away as a research associate for one of the major universities here in Chile.

Basically during full & new moons, I run up & down the central coast of Chile looking in tidepools, living out of a tent & a pickup. The rest of the time I have to deal with administrative & logistic support for the reseach group.

I am currently the General Manager for a PetSmart store. In past lives I have been a professional horse trainer, a florist, a realtor and had aspirations of being a Veteranarian. I guess I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. :teeth:

My dream job at this point in my life would be to own a little beach bar with sand floors and Jimmy Buffett music playing, with a reef right off the front so I could get off work and jump in...

ME-- I work for American Eagle Airlines as a bag handler, at night i clean and wax aircrafts, ebay when i can buying and selling, handyman work when i get some.

Ummm txted, don't take this the wrong way, but I hope your job as a bag handler is in no way related to your EBay activities... :lmao:

OK, short version of me... Was a communications / radar technician with the Canadian Air Force. Took an early retirement package from the military a few years after the Gulf War. Since then I have worked in the computer gaming and electronics industries. Then spent 5 years working at a chocolate factory.

Today, I am a Director of IT for a university in New Brunswick, Canada. I maintain servers, firewalls, web pages, do tech support, write policy and a lot of other smaller jobs. Jack-of-all-trades really.

Remember, email is an inefficient communications forum. You may not read things the way it was intended. Give people the benefit of the doubt before firing back... Especially if it is ME...! ;)

After serving 8 years in the Marines went into aviation maintenance, spent about 10 years working on Military Helicopters in "situations" all over the world. Spent last 6 years working on EMS helicopters , got my DM while living in Maui, wound up in Hill country TX for past year. Now on my way to Thailand to become an OW SCUBA instructor and then move back to Maui. Yes it is all one big adventure, I am an adventure junkie, the reason I am single again & again & again. MY real dream is to be a piano player in a brothel :lmao:
