Here's a topic I've wondered about that's perfect for this forum. COED ROOMMATES! I'd like some opinions, especially from the female listeners. Let's throw out a scenario: We're on a trip to Cozumel, everyone is at least an acquintance,if not a friend (i.e. pretty sure there's not a serial killer in the group), there are no official "couples" in the group. Is it OK to mix genders in double rooms if a) desired or b) required by the number of each sex ? I'll say from personal experience with female roommates (friends, not girlfriends) it has been just fine. But what do I know? Opinion?

I think this topic was recently discussed here somewhere until it dissintegrated into the usual teasing and playful banter (why does that happen to every thread here ! :clapping: ). I'll bet Walter links us to the thread soon.....
I, for one, have no objections to sharing a room with a either a guy or a gal. I've done it at tournanments & never had an issue- and that's with poolplayers! :thankyou: Actually, I'm seldom in my room anyway- I usually stay out later & get out earlier than anyone I room with, male or female. Plus, people love rooming with me 'cause I'm so fast in the bathroom!!

Teasing and playful banter in here?? no way lol :thankyou:

I have no objections to it, as long as my roomie is comfortable with the situation. I've done this on a few different occasions. I had one situation where there was only one queen size bed, the hotel goofed on the reseveration and they were short on extra beds :clapping: So we talked about it, lauged about it, because really there was nothing else we could do, and that was just the way our day was going.. lol Anyway, it worked out well. I had my side of the bed and he had his. Like Marvel, I'm an early riser, and often times get in later and fast in the bathroom.

I would have no problems with it. Back in the early days when I had roomates I only had lady roommies. I think it had something to do with my days in the Navy. :o

Really though I wouldnt see a problem with it.

No problem from my standpoint. My roommate on the next Cozumel trip is female. Never actually met but have spoken over the phone just to make sure we wouldn't kill each other in the first couple days. When on a vacation I am happy with any roommate who isn't obnoxious. Age, sex, background really doesn't matter unless they force their values and opinions on me.

I have no issues, but I do need tons of counter space for all my hair products, skin lotions, curling irons, curlers, blow driers, make-up, .....

Seems most of us have no problem with the idea. Do keep in mind that others might not be comfortable with the idea. Don't be offended if you are turned down when presenting the idea.

I'd suggest you stop using them....they seem to be too hard on your delicate hair...especially in the front!!

No problem here! I guess that a female roomate way back when kind of made me immune to caring myself. I even remember to put the seat down!
A person should be judged in this life not by the mistakes that they make nor by the number of them. Rather they are to be judged by their recovery from them.
