Hey, I'm currently working at RAND Corporation ... I'll see what I can do!I think it would be interesting to have a satisfaction survey at the end of the date for both people to fill out .... "on a scale of 1- 10, how would you rate the conversation tonight?".... "what were your expectations at the beginning of the date?" "were your expectations met?" "wpuld you want to go out again sometime?" "do you see me as a (check one) potential sibling; potential friend with benefits; potential dating partner; etc. .....
eewwww.... cool project for a phd candidate out there somewhere I'm sure.

Perhaps it is. Dating in this town is a rough game ... many women act as if they're owed something and some actually have financial criteria for going out with you - there are women here who tell you, up front, that they are going to check your finances, investments, real estate, and TRW as a consideration, and then they contribute nothing financially to the relationship. And then they wonder why they feel objectified when men look at them as nothing more than an acquisition and a depreciating asset. Ladies, pull your weight financially or be prepared to be treated appropriately ... this is the 21st Century.Must be an L.A. thing!Am I wrong here? Is this just an L.A. thing?
If I do the asking, I expect to pay.
If he does the asking, I still might offer out of courtesy, to pay half or cover the tip.
We need more women like you, Anna, down here! And bring friends.

Happy to be appreciated, Jex!
Now if only you weren't already 'spoken for'!
But since you are, if you know of any others like you, let me know!
There's a 'Finder's Fee' in it for you. . . :anna:

a young bull and an old bull are standing on a hill overlooking a pasture full of heifers. But what about that whole 'thrill of the chase' thing?
the young bull says, "hey, i got an idea, lets run down there and &#$@ one of them heifers."
and the old bull says, "naw, lets walk down there and &#$@ all of them."
lol, take it however ya want.
oh, and that "thrill of the chase" crap, i'm not in a race and i'm not a cheetah chasing down dinner on the Serengetti.

There is, however, tremendous thrill in the unknown.
That's part of what I love about diving, and being a recently minted single guy (well, about a year and a half now), I have to say that's part of what's fun about dating.
Not too long ago, I was on a date and we wound up making out on her porch for about 45 minutes. I didn't expect that, and neither did she, but there's TREMENDOUS fun in discovering how a person kisses, and likes to be kissed, and when both people discover they like kissing the same way, a make-out session is pretty damned good times.
So - yeah. Discovery is exciting to me. Exploration is exciting to me. Not knowing how something is going to turn out is a real turn-on. I *like* not knowing.
I don't like the game playing that's part of dating. It makes me tired. I wish that people were more forthcoming in expressing their feelings.
But I also REALLY enjoy a good mystery. And given my relationship experiences, I think keeping and maintaining some degree of mystery in a relationship helps keep it fresh and exciting and fun.
And by the way, making out kicks ass. I strongly recommend it.
This probably doesn't make any sense (well, hopefully the making out part does, but the other part probably doesn't).
Oh I'm so confused.

Sounds like you need a Single Divers Sunset with a Lavaflow...
Or maybe just some Monopolova!!!
For me, it's got to be a mutual chase or no chasing at all. Or even just saying, hey, we're caught--let's get it on.
That's when the real adventure begins, anyhow.

Never had Monopolova... will have to give it a shot! I'm a big fan of Stoli Elit, however.Sounds like you need a Single Divers Sunset with a Lavaflow...

In fact, here's my favorite recipe for vodka martinis:
Ingredients:
Stoli Elit Vodka
Vermouth (brand is unimportant)
Lemon twist
Recipe:
At least a week before preparing, place bottle of Stoli Elit in the freezer, along with a martini glass (or several).
1. Remove glass and vodka from freezer.
2. Pour vodka into glass.
3. Rub the lip of the glass with a lemon twist
4. Toss bottle of vermouth in the trash.
ENJOY!
