I am very interested in doing the North Carolina coast dives whatever the length of the trip. I have not done the NC coast in some years, spoiling myself on exotic locales on liveaboards, but since I am doing Red Sea trip and live in Durham, NC, this would be fun indeed. I could also pick up at least one diver at airport for ride to coast; unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your perspective, I drive a Camaro Z28 convertible, and it can not handle more than two people with the accompanying dive gear.

Our pkg will include a shuttle from the airport but trust me if I'm one over into the second van I'll take you up on that offer!

I can do a 4 day trip but we seem to have a harder time filling it. Who else wants 4 days of diving? Keep in mind that for the FLY IN's... 1 day to get there and a full day to get home means a 6 day trip to do 4 days of diving!

Speaking of lionfish....this thing was the size of a small basketball when it was furled out:

We'll get you added to the interested list and I can certainly do 1-2 peeps without the hotel as that allows me to do 1-2 single occupancy rooms!

The way the schedule is shaking out, it looks like i will be able to do this trip. I'll can drive in. will i be able to dive my own tanks (steel 120's)?

The ray was more than impressive, that thing was huge. How about 4 days of diving I'm in on this one. For those that have never been there this is awesome diving and you should do this trip at least once in your diving career!!!

.Would like to go & meet some of the SD;'s my kinda temps. Have to see how business is this 1st qtr.Very nice link Jerry.Thank you.

Yes you can bring your own tanks! There will be some steel 95's available for a few extra bucks if you want bigger tanks and don't have your own. You can also dive doubles BUT only one set per day meaning you will need to do both of your dives off one set of doubles.

I would LOVE to be included in this trip! I'm still just OW, but I'm doing well on air consumption and also at depth. Is this something I could still do?

Maybe one of the instructors would teach the AOW and Nitrox on this trip. If not one of the SD instructors then possibly the dive shop would have an instructor on staff. It would be a great place for the deep course and the wreck course as well.
