Wreck Maniac- I used to live in Atlantic and Neptune Beaches. Went through a hurricane there in the 1950's as a kid. My parents were down in the Keys and my grandmother was staying with us. All we could do is huddle in a corner of one of the rooms for the duration. I'm sure it was a minor one.

My company keeps a group of hotel rooms in Leesburg Virginia (about 40 miles west of DC..and about 30 minutes from Wreck Goddess and Vinnie I think).
If you need them..let me know...we will write you off as visiting clients or something

So, just got home from work to find my neighbor busily putting up plywood. 
NOW the landlord is going to allow us to board- now that all the wood is gone....(sigh) finishing up packing- mandatory evacuations have been announced. blech.

We tried and tried to get a dive in, but all the shops seemed wary of rough seas... I mean the waves are only projected to be 8 feet or so! Have fun in Morehead.I'll be in the Morehead City/Atlantic Beach area this weekend...anyone wanna come?
