I can understand the need for all leave together on the same flight, in order to obtain the best airfare deal, and have no preference whether we leave from either coast. I would like the option to extend my trip for another week or longer after the Maldives, whether it be around Manado (Lambeh-Bunaken), a Red Sea liveaboard, or some other destination depending upon where a layover can be scheduled with respect to a flight change. Much of whether I will able to make this trip will hinge on whether it will be possible to arrange the necessary flights and have enough lead time to make reservations.

Certainly, the Wench has her hands full balancing her travel, trying to cram this trip between Coz & DEMA!!!

Well one thing is for sure...we have a diverse group of travelers. I have gotten enough input to know this group will be split between those who can do 7/8 days and those who can and need to do longer. As is our hallmark...I will work to arrange both and SOONER vs Later.

OPTION:

For those wanting more diving time and/or longer trips...the boat has contacted me asking if we would like to do 2 back to back trips? Each week would be the same price but you would STILL NEVER SEE ALL THE GREAT SPOTS so would be still be seeing new sites!

So of those interested in doing more than 7 or 8 days...would you want to do a second trip on the boat or just break off and do your own thing?

Keep in mind my air consolidator can help with flights even if they involve other locale. There is a small handling fee but you will more than make that up in lower fares than you would otherwise find on your own.

I would be fine with back to back weeks on the same boat. For me, the challenge is getting to the spot, and I would want to spend more than one week diving after all of that travel. Ed

I'd do a second week on the boat. There is soooo much to see there.

Can they just leave us out on a raft with a bunch of tanks while they take the one weekers back to port??
