Ok I've had a couple of questions about the price of the trip which I show as $1695 vs. the $1595 shown on the website. There is a whole laundry list of additional charges such as $45 fuel surcharge, park fees, etc that happen to add up to $100 so I just added them in to give you a more representative idea of the real trip price. So yes the base trip price is $1595 and the laundry list of additional charges makes the trip $1695.

Mostly --- Now I just need absolute clarity on the dates. ie do we need to arrive on the 15th to leave on the boat the morning of the 16th?? Also, should we intend to leave St. Kitts on the 24th, presuming the boat trip ends on the 23rd??

NEW UPDATE:


Arrival:

The boat will stay the night in St Maarteens as many of the flights will route via San Juan and therefore arrive at 10pm on the 16th. I have just spoken to the boat and since that is the last arriving flight...the boat does not leave until that flight has arrived.

So you can arrive anytime up til 10pm the 16th. Many will be arriving early to do some sight seeing and we can board the boat at 3pm on the 16th.

Departure:

We arrive back into St. Kitts Friday night and depart the boat by 9am on Saturday the 23rd. Therefore any flight option you have for the 23rd is good.

Single Supplement:

The Single Room Rate is $2,342.50 vs. $1695.00 for the double occupancy.

Day of arrival is the 16th.

We leave St. Maarten as soon as everyone is on board. It could be as late as midnight if people are on the late AA flight. Some times they may overnight in St. Maarten and leave out early Sunday morning.


Day of departure is the 23rd.

Off by 9am on the 23rd but if you have a late afternoon flight out you can leave gear/bags on board until time to go to the airport.


Water temps in April:

Water temp about78-80.

Air Temps in April:

Air temp mid to high 80's.

Visibility in April:

Viz about 80 - 100 ft.

OK, deposit is in the mail.

I've seen the discussion how airline prices vary depending on day of the week, time of day. Are airlines noted for opening up seats for FF's? I can only find R/T FF to SXM returning on Monday, and nothing flying down. I'll keep checking daily until they come to their senses.

Sad news.... I just checked my work calender before making my final decision on this trip and I am here to tell you it is a good thing that I did! I forgot that I had been brought onto a file a month ago that is in trial for the entire month of April!! Therefore, while you guys are having the time of your life diving on off a boat, I will be stuck in a dry, stuffy courtroom with bad recycled air, wearing wool robes, desperately trying to scribble down everything being said and figuring out how to deal with witnesses and experts. :dltears:

OK. Dropped the check in mail in Denver yesterday morning.

Pretty sure at this point I'm going to leave on the 14th (which will put me there on the 15th) and just hang out for a day.

Oh, yea. I'm opting for the free NITROX. But since I have dove it since I got certified about 3 years ago, hopefully, someone on the trip can give me a refresher??
