Getting the formal announcement that I have won a trip for 2011 performance. Best part is that I get to take my dear friend, the one who washed my hair and made my meals when I could not, on a pretty much budgetless trip to Grand Cayman.

Happiness is being able to taste home grown fruits and veggies every day from your freezer that you worked so hard all summer to freeze! My smoothie this morning has home grown peaches, watermelon, cantalope, blueberries, strawberries and pears from our trees or my 'little ole farmer neighbor'. :teeth:

Congrats on the trip SharkLover...free trips are always cool! :wakawaka:

Any freezing tips for the peaches/melons/pears? Berries seem to do fine. I usually buy from local farmers in the summer but didn't get to it last summer.

Trip not exactly free. Lots of 60 hour weeks working under very difficult circumstances. I am mostly just happy that I get to do something like this for my friend who has shared the hardest parts of my life with me. It is something she really needs and not something she could do for herself.

Having a brutally exhausting but very productive week which ended with sipping some good Scotch with my favorite Marine by the ocean under the most beautiful moon. Simple stuff is always the good stuff.

Dancing with my fellow bluesies to Luther and the Healers on Thursday at the end of a 4x10 workweek.

Hanging with my fellow darklings on Friday at Numbers.

Lindy hopping with my good friends at Té House of Tea on Saturday.

(Did I mention I like to dance...?)

Dancing makes me happy too.

I LOVE to dance, and also love the blues. My FAVORITE Zydeco artist is playing this weekend, and I made a choice not to go because I needed to be by the ocean worse than I needed to step out for some zydeco dancing. Then I come to find out that a local zydeco band is having a Mardi Gras tomorrow. So perhaps there will be zydeco dancing after all. Funny how life works out sometimes if you can identify where your compass is pointing and follow it.

I LOVE to dance, and also love the blues. My FAVORITE Zydeco artist is playing this weekend, and I made a choice not to go because I needed to be by the ocean worse than I needed to step out for some zydeco dancing. Then I come to find out that a local yokel zydeco band is having a Gloucester Mardi Gras tomorrow. So perhaps there will be zydeco dancing after all. Funny how life works out sometimes if you can identify where your compass is pointing and follow it.

Oh My, how good it often turns out if we find that compass heading and actually follow it.

The Gloucester Mardi Gras was one proper country party, 22 fried turkeys (never had one before), the 3 biggest pots of gumbo I had ever seen (not had any this good since I lived in Louisiana), and hours upon hours of live cajun/zydeco music and dancing.

Happy.

Hanging way off of Bloody Bay wall into the blue at about 90 feet, seeing nothing but the same color up/down/sideways, just chilling and thinking about nothing. Though I think it was more like complete peace than happiness.Until my buddy started rolling sideways and didn't know it at which time I burst out laughing and flooded my mask.

We are all lucky that we get to dive. Each moment is so unique.

I'm just making new friends, enjoying life, and diving as much as I can. This is happiness to me.
