You are correct.  OTOH, how many have buoyancy control mastered to that degree?

Keep in mind, one of you will likely have to remove your mask to make it work at all.  How are your no mask skills?

The other thing you can do (other than deep kissing, like Bill) is exhale through your nose while kissing.

My point is this can be done safely, but you need to be a skilled diver and you need to give it thought.  I don't want any of our people hurt.

You make it sould like all those skills I refined in DIR-F were a prerequisite for something that shouldn't be attempted underwater. Precision buoyancy control... mask removal and replacement... I gots the skills.

Question: Why on earth would anyone WANT to make out underwater??? I mean really, all danger issues aside, what do I prove by "deep" kissing, other than the fact that she tasted briney??? I think if a woman really wants a good time ( though there are danger issues here too ), try making out with me on the beach AFTER the dive, when I can give her the attention and skill you really deserve.

Ohhhh Yeaaaaaah!!!!

let's just say that sand is not meant to be , uh, found in certain areas of the body.

makes rug burns feel GOOD by comparison.

I have not had the experience of the sand in those areas ....so I think I will take your word for it triggerfish. :teeth:

"On the beach" is negotiable... anywhere out of the water is where you'll get full benefit of the art without the taste of brine... :teeth:

Rugburn ( or sand related injuries ) isn't my idea of a good time either, but some might call that collateral damage.

WHY would anyone want to swap spit underwater? You might as well ask why they'd want to do it topside. I for one thoroughly enjoy a good extended session of sucking face. That's enough of a reason anywhere.

If you think of it, there are many things we do topside and underwater that may make little sense. Kissing is not one of them IMHO.

I'm not advocating underwater kissing. I'm explaining there are dangers many hadn't considered. I'm also telling people not to attempt it if they don't have the skills.

It's a shame those skills aren't taught better in more OW courses.

Sounds like I did my OW with the wrong instructor... :teeth: Hey Walter, I still need to get AOW!!

Seriously, I don't think that the results were worth the risk. I did try a brief kiss underwater once & was not impressed. I'll stick to topside from now on..... :anna:
