Anyone else see a resemblance between "sunshinediver" and Julie Christie in her acting days?

Yes, Peter... and another lovely addition to the already lovely bunch of lady divers on this board.

I talked to Marvel earlier this evening. She has no power, but is safe. The storm came in just south of her. Most of the bad weather is on the south and east of the storm, so she was doing well. The storm has been moving SW, so it should pass well to the south of me and enter the Gulf in a few hours where it will likely strengthen. If it turns north close to shore, it could get nasty all along the west coast. Time will tell..........

Contact with Marvel will be limited, she's wisely conserving her cell batteries. It's been pretty dry in her area, lots of rain to the south. She said when she walks outside, the sand is painful.

Walter -

Thanks for keeping us posted on Marvel. Glad to hear she's safe and hope she's not getting much of the damage in her area. When you next talk to her, let her know I'm thinking about her!

For Marvel, it's now a rain storm, nothing serious. A couple of her neighbors lost some windows, they are still without power and likely will be for some time. She's in good spirts and was touched by the well wishes. The hurricane in now 60 miles due south of Naples over warm water, so it's expected to get stronger. A turn north is still expected, but the turn is expected to be farther to the west than was predicted yesterday. That's good news for me and those in my area.

Good Walter...we certainly don't want you in harm's way either. I just checked in on Howard in Miami and he has fared well too.

Has anyone else heard anything from our other members?
