Bulk Air Update:

Hey gang...with fuel charges as brutal as they are, bulk contracts are getting harder to find for certain markets unless we have 10 people from one destination. These contracts vary and will change weekly. I will try to update you weekly on where they stand.

In the meantime...book anything you find that works for you via the internet or other. Thank you! -ww

Where did you check? 'Cuz I looked on Expedia and they quoted $3100 from HNL. I went directly to Continental's site and got a quote for the same flight for $1200!

$823 sounds high, I didn't pay that much in March flying out of Newark NJ, you need to shop around more, have you tried SkyHigh Airlines?

:lmao: Are there only 10 spots available for this trip, as shown in the intro thread? There are also more interested divers than spots available. I understand spots are granted a first-come, first-serve basis. But are more spots going to open up? I'm trying to hold out on better airfare before I commit to this trip :banghead: , so I hope for another 10 spots. :) BTW, has anyone priced out of EWR under $1K? :)

Got Air, Continental.com is showing $858.00 from EWR but the last time I flew there I booked through Roatan Charters for an even better rate.

Those prices do seem high. I can get there from here (HNL) for $1120. You'd think it would be half that from the east coast!

Those are excellent questions. WW is offline/out-of-town, but I'll see if I can't follow-up on some of these questions in the interim. Keep your eye on fares though!

Thanks for checking on the airfare, Latitude & Dive Girl. The trip is almost a steal but the airfare is going to hurt. :banghead: I'll remain diligent, looking out for a flight for $800 including taxes/fees. Checking LGA/JFK now. If there are any NY metropolitan area members out there, let's try to band together for a charter rate if possible--we'll all save money and bond by flying together. :)

Looks like I can fly out of Philadelphia for about $800 at 6AM! :) Add on the cost of travelling to Philly and it would cost about the same as leaving NJ/NY. Still on the lookout. :lmao: Anything I have to do to get to dive is worth the effort. :)

Thanks for the info. Maybe I can use my miles to get to Houston and fly from there. Can I stay overnight and leave with you? :)

Two things: 1-I didn't know there was a HH here in NYC (is there? is it wishful thinking? or am I just a Susi-come-lately in that regard?) 2- I agree :) It would be good to find a group of us in the NY area so we could command a lower charter rate. I saw TACA from JFK for just over $800-- also leaving obscenely early --like 5 AM, but.....still we're getting closer! :lmao:
